FPT is the ‘Infosys’ of Vietnam, a homegrown tech company which is poised to compound consistently on the back of ongoing digital transformation taking place globally. A provider of global IT services including Cloud, IoT, AI, and Big Data analysis, FPT works with the world’s leading IT companies such as Microsoft, Cisco, and AWS.

Worldwide IT spending is growing at an 8% CAGR to reach $5 trillion by 2024. In 2022, IT services will reach $1.3 trillion and Software spending will grow 10% to almost $700bn. Consulting is set to grow at 10-11%, while IaaS & Infra Utility services will continue their strong growth rate of 30%, 2022-23. Meanwhile Cloud migration and digital adoption will ramp up from 22% of workloads currently run in public clouds towards 40% by the end of 2024.

Domestically, a rapidly increasing demand for Cloud services is driven by the Vietnamese stipulation for data to be stored in-country, the increase in MNCs locating in Vietnam and the imminent roll out of 5G. Post lockdown, FPT has broken ground on building the largest data centre in Vietnam in the capital at 10,000 sqm.

Founded in 1988 by Vietnam's National Institute of Technology Research FPT listed in 2006 with 46 offices overseas, including Japan, Europe and the U.S.

Technology

FPT Software has more than 16,000 workers and 700 customers, 100 of which are Fortune Global 500s. FPT is expanding rapidly in the US, growing over 50%. In their home market, FPT serves Vietnam’s largest companies and government departments, providing a variety of services from e-tickets for Vietnam Railways to smart metre solutions for energy to hospital and school management systems. The low-cost, youthful and well educated labour force is one of Vietnam’s considerable advantages which FPT is leveraging via Education.

Telecoms

FPT provides internet solutions, data centre services and broadcast services such as FPT TV including FPT Play, a multimedia entertainment product with over 6m users.

Education

FPT is the largest private educational institution in Vietnam with over 70,000 full-time equivalent students, spanning elementary, middle and high school to college, vocational and university post-graduate education. FPT University trains industrial engineers, providing a steady stream of workers, with more than 30% of graduates working for FPT post graduation.

FPT has a 47% stake in Vietnam's second largest electronics retailer.
