‘Demography—the fundamental driver of all economies—is shifting the balance of power in Asia.’

— Voice of Asia, Deloitte, 2017

  • Awakening Giant

Deloitte report that India is the first awakening giant. Its rise as an economic superpower is about to be felt in earnest.

India’s population will comprise 77% Millennials (born 1981-2005) and Generation Z (post 2005) by 2030.

India will add 110mn workers by 2030 - 10m a year. One-fifth of the world’s working-age population will be Indian.

  • Build it.

It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

  • Grow it.

A Demographic Dividend

Asia’s tides are turning - its growth momentum is on the cusp of significant change. The massive demographic tides in countries such as India, the Philippines, and Indonesia will drive more growth than generally realised.

India - the first awakening giant

The 3Ps of population, participation, and productivity — are all set to surge in India. By mid-century India’s potential workforce will grow from 885 million people to 1.12 billion — it will remain above a billion people for half a century. New workers will be much better trained and educated than the existing Indian workforce. India’s demographic structure could sustain higher levels of growth for longer.
